NASA's Chief of Human Spaceflight, William H. Gerstenmaier, said his agency "was unable to put a date" on a manned Mars Mission because of a "lack of funds". President Donald J. Trump signed a bill in March approving $19.5 billion for the project targeted for 2025. Gerstenmaier's snub was made while V.P. Mike Pence was visiting NASA in Houston.
