Chinese using four-year-old slaves to mine cobalt in Congo

Chinese are using four-year-old slaves to mine cobalt in the African country of Congo. Cobalt is used in batteries to power cell phones.

Hybrid and electric cars like Prius and Tesla also use cobalt batteries.

The Chinese mining company Hauyou has refused to apologise after Sky News found that it was sourcing cobalt mined by children as young as four. We've also discovered that Apple has told Huayou to suspend all sourcing from mines until they can be checked to be free of child labour.
