Prosecutors will submit new charges against Konnech’s CEO, Jianwei “Eugene” Wei Yu next year.

George Gascon, LA DA, announced Wednesday that he has assigned a dedicated team to prosecute the Konnech Yu case.

It will be headed by Luke Sisak.

Gascon is the Los Angeles District Attorney (LA DA).

Eric Neff has the assignment to try the case on behalf of the People of California.

Their original charges against Yu of conspiracy and embezzling $2.6 million from the City of Los Angeles were withdrawn Wednesday.

The Judge’s journal entry will be posted to the docket, the official court record, on Monday, said the Clerk of Courts.

However, neither the FBI nor the Justice Department will investigate or prosecute Konnech and Eugene Yu.

As an FBI informant, Yu has immunity from federal prosecution.

However, Yu has no such immunity from local and state authorities like California.

So far, only Los Angeles County has brought criminal charges against Yu.

Prosecutor Eric Neff said that Konnech, Yu, and other co-conspirators are involved in “the biggest data breach” in the history of the U.S.

Neff said Konnech’s servers are in China.

The Australian Parliament has said Konnech’s servers are in Wuhan, China.

Withdrawing the case means that Yu was:

Yu’s wife, Donna Wang, is another Chinese spy.

Yu’s whereabouts are unknown.

However, prosecutors have other people to substitute as defendants if Yu fails to return from China.

Yu’s company has had twenty years to get their voting systems to work correctly.

Instead, the same problems recur over and over again.

According to LA Prosecutor Neff, Konnech has thousands of contracts in the U.S.

These include tabulating the votes in U.S. Senate battleground states of:

  • Alaska

  • Arizona

  • Georgia

  • New Mexico

  • Pennsylvania

  • Wisconsin

Konnech systems are integrated with other voting systems like Dominion.

They share the same servers and programmers based in China.

Servers send, store, and receive election and other data like the personal information of registered voters.
