Butina’s attorneys missed the deadline to file an appeal. It was today.
The FBI admitted Butina turned state’s evidence against the NRA.
In return, her two-year sentence was reduced six-months.

Butina, a former student at American University and a gun rights activist, pled guilty to felony charges of conspiracy to act as an unregistered foreign agent in the US.
U.S. authorities expect to soon hand down a sentence in the case of Maria Butina, the 30-year-old Russian woman now held in a U.S. jail who has pleaded guilty of conspiring to influence American politics, accused of conspiracy and acting as a foreign agent.
